WELCOME to the BIOMIM ERC project website

The ERC BIOMIM project aims at developping Biomimetic films and membranes as advanced materials for studies on cellular processes.

Catherine PICART, professor at the Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP), conducts this project at the Materials and Physical Engineering Laboratory.

She is recepient of an "ERC Starting Grant-Consolidator 2010" (FP7 Ideas Programme/ Grant agreement 259370).

Towards innovative solutions in the field of orthopedics

The BIOMIM project could lead to innovative solutions in the field of orthopedics.
It is the aim of the OSteo-inductive COating of orthopedic and Dental Implants project (OSCODI).

In 2012,  the OSCODI project was selected for an ERC Proof of Concept funding, which aims to help ERC grant-holders bridge the gap between their research and the earliest stage of a marketable innovation.
(FP7 Ideas Programme/ 2013-2014 / Grant agreement 334966).
