LMGP hires an expert in the field of MXenes

The Team Nanomaterials & Advanced Heterostructures (NanoMAT) in LMGP is growing : it has hired at the beginning of 2022 a new CNRS Research Scientist, Hanna Pazniak, who is an expert in the field of MXenes.

These 2D materials offer according to their composition a wide variety of properties: large specific surface area, high electrical conductivity, good elastic properties, functionalized and hydrophilic surfaces, etc. They are fabricated from the exfoliation of precursors, the so-called MAX phases; LMGP is one of the few laboratories in the world mastering their synthesis in the form of single crystals. Hanna Pazniak has already published many articles, in particular concerning the use of MXenes in perovskite solar cells. She has worked in Russia, United States, and Germany, and opens to her Team in the framework of the Research Line Nanolamellar & 2D Materials a vast international network for future collaborations.
