The IEEE R8 Students & Young Professionals Congress, or simply R8 SYP Congress, is one of the most famous and important events in Region 8 (Europe, Asia and Africa). It is held every 2 years and brings together students and young professionals in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) from all sections in Region 8. It is an excellent opportunity for IEEE members to network and develop their technical and cross-disciplinary skills.
During the Congress, a wide variety of workshops and conferences are organized, dealing with exciting and up-to-the-minute technical subjects. At the same time, the conference offers training workshops on soft skills, essential for teamwork. In addition to this training program, social activities are planned to enable participants to exchange ideas and experience a wide range of cultures.
In its 14th edition, held in Grenoble from July 15th to July 19th, this biennial event is the largest gathering of students and young professionals in Region 8, attracting bright minds from diverse Sections worldwide. The congress is a melting pot of innovation, fostering engineering sense and capabilities, and providing a global platform for networking with industry leaders.
During this event, a group of 14 students visited the experimental setups of LMGP.
We thank Johnny Azzi and Tanisha Bhadauria for their implication in the organisation of this international event.
