Teaching activities
Associate professor at Phelma – Grenoble INP (since 2022)
Teaching for students from baccalaureate+1 to master
Teaching for students from baccalaureate+1 to master
Main courses: biomaterials, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology
-Responsibility: Head of the second year of the biomedical engineering track (since 2022)
Research activities
My research activities focus on protein structure-function relationships and protein self-assembly with a dual interest:
(1) fundamental research to understand the mechanisms by which certain proteins form aggregates and fibres in contact with different interfaces
and
(2) applied research unsing a bio-inspired approach to use these protein self-assemblies as biomaterials, particularly for applications in the medical field. The main proteins I am working on are fibrous and sticky proteins. See: Nature-inspired adhesives
Keywords: protein self-assembly, biomimicry, amyloids, natural adhesives, protein-surface interactions.
