My current research as postdoc is being developed in the context of the SPRINT project under the supervision of David Muñoz. This comprises the deposition of thin films by CVD or ALD and its later laser processing and characterization.

Scientific career
  • September 2019 to present: Postdoctoral contract (CNRS). Research on deposition of oxides thin films by CVD or SALD and its laser processing and characterization. Laboratoire des Matériaux et du Génie Physique (LMGP), Grenoble, France. Dr. David Muñoz Rojas’s group.
  • October 2018 to July 2019: Postdoctoral contract (CSIC). Research on catalytic thin films by RF-sputtering or porous electrodes for hydrogen and oxygen permeation membranes and other energy-related devices.  Instituto de Tecnología Química (UPV-CSIC), Valencia, Spain. Prof. Jose M. Serra’s group.
  • September 2014 to September 2018: PhD contract (CSIC). Research on ionic devices at low-mid temperature for selective detection of hydrocarbons in car exhaust gases.  Instituto de Tecnología Química (UPV-CSIC), Valencia, Spain. Energy storage and conversion group supervised by Prof. Jose M. Serra.
  • September 2013 to July 2014: Master’s scholarship (UPV). Research on ionic devices for selective detection of hydrocarbons in diesel exhaust gases. Instituto de Tecnología Química (UPV-CSIC), Valencia, Spain. Energy storage and conversion group supervised by Prof. Jose M. Serra.
  • February 2012 to May 2012: Undergraduate collaborator/scholar (UV). Research on alternative entrainers that do not have adverse effects to humans and environment. Department of Chemical Engineering at the Universitat de València (Valencia, Spain) for six months. Supervised by Estela Lladosa Lopez and Juan Bautista Monton Castellano.

Temporary stays in foreign research centers
  • 2017: PhD candidate research stage. Department of Materials at the Imperial College London (London, United Kingdom) for three months. Characterization of protonic thin films by FIB-SIMS and LEIS. Supervisor: Ainara Aguadero.

Practical training in companies
  • October 2012 to June 2013: Internship. R+D department at Sensata Technologies B.V. (Hengelo, Netherlands). Participation in a project which objective consisted of developing electrochemical sensors for hydrocarbon sensing in cars. Supervisor: George Van der Donk
  • June 2012 to September 2012: Practical training in the company Berioska (Cheste, Spain). The work consisted on 1) the analysis of the company’s wastewater and 2) developing new deodorants formulas to avoid staining of clothes.
